In your standalone app's Preferences, go to the Advanced tab and  
either select "Allow browsing to any URL", or try adding this pattern  
to the allowed URL list:

*google.com*orkut*

Orkut is rare (maybe unique?) among the Google Apps in that it bounces  
between 2 domains (orkut.com and google.com).
