thanks, guys, but something really weird is happening in my case:
even when I change the user agent to the latest Mac version of Safari
(or even next-to-latest), I still get the browser incompatibility
message.  I've changed the user agent, quit & restarted, etc., all
with the same result.  very strange.  well, if you have any further
thoughts, do let me know!  thanks again.
