Hi, Since I just joined the group, let's preface this by saying that I love Fluid, and Cruz, and the way their developer's mind works :) (Did that sound weird? Well, I'm a geek. But around here that should go without saying.)
I'm using Fluid to read and write messages on a web-based chatroom, and OS X's "Check Spelling While Typing" keeps re-enabling itself (I'm not sure exactly what triggers it; it seems to happen even if I don't quit and restart the application for a while -- possibly when my Mac wakes up from sleep?). I understand that it must look like a very small inconvenience at first glance, but it is a major annoyance for anyone who happens to be writing in different languages at different times -- which means anyone in a non-English-speaking country (because almost anyone here has to write some English now and again) along with many people in English-speaking countries. Having the red squiggly lines reappear every day has been enough to discourage me from using Fluid once a couple months ago, and chances are I'll give up again if the hack I just found to disable spell checking system-wide doesn't work. (Even though I was ecstatic about adding window.fluid Javascript to my website a couple days ago.) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "fluidapp" group.
