Thanks for the help, Todd. I've tried (1) deleting and recreating the SSB, (2) deleting the preferences of the SSB, (3) deleting the fluid preferences, (4) all of the above plus rebooting. Once, during this process, Fluid crashed.
Now, when I try to create a new SSB for this or other random web sites, I get the message "Could not create new web application. Operation could not be completed. Permission denied."
