After running for some time, my Gmail app would start using excessive
CPU: 20-60%. It was affecting Gmail in any Webkit browser, not just
Fluid. Restarting the app would fix it temporarily, but the problem
inevitably came back.

Turns out - for me anyway - it was caused by the presence of an old
version of the ClickToFlash plugin. (What with all the fuss about
input managers I neglected to check plain old plugins.) Installing the
latest ClickToFlash solved the problem. (It's a great plugin, by the
way.)

Hope this will help others out too.

Adrian
