For every ssb I use there is a desktop equivalent, why do we need ssb at all? Well my reason is I like the tabbed interface of gtalk gadget and I go back and forward on different machines so I like the familar feel. For whatever the reason there's nothing wrong with choice so back to my question for anyone that can help.
