For every ssb I use there is a desktop equivalent, why do we need ssb at all? 
Well my reason is I like the tabbed interface of gtalk gadget and I go back and 
forward on different machines so I like the familar feel. For whatever the 
reason there's nothing wrong with choice so back to my question for anyone that 
can help.

yeah, it looks much like windows one, but adium works also fine (and

very well) with Gtalk, so... there's really a need to use a web

flash-based app as a SSB?
