It says how in that post, haha.
I don't think you can use the normal convert to Embedded SSB option,
but you can pull off the same effect.

All you need to do is make an SSB, make it chromeless, embedded on
desktop, and set the window-shadow to off. (status bar too)
You can then resize it to fit the whole screen, minus the few pixels
that the dock steals at the bottom.
Same effect sans a few pixels.
