+1 I was able to build and install it. All the various files seem to be correct. Next I'll try to do something with it.
The next items I have are all comments and are not required for a release. 1.The flume parent pom does not have the Apache pom as its parent. I would recommend this. 2.mvn site does nothing. You seem to be referencing maven-site-plugin 2.0.1 instead of version 3.0 which is required for Maven 3.This may be due to item 1. If you are using Maven to build the site plugin can be useful. 3. mvn checkstyle:checkstyle yields many errors. It may simply be using the default configuration which you may not be following. Using this plugin is quite helpful as developers often don't have their IDEs configured the same or use different IDEs. flume-ng-core - 881 checkstyle errors flume-ng-hdfs sink - 251 checkstyle errors flume-ng-jdbc channel - 330 checkstyle errors. flume-ng file-based channel - 71 checkstye errors. 4. mvn pmd:pmd also doesn't seem to work correctly. This is probably due to item 1.
