Given the flakiness of the JIRA since yesterday, I took the opportunity to push the patch attached to FLUME-1183. However, before I could update the JIRA itself, it went down. I will update this when the system is available again. Just wanted to give you a heads up in case you would like to try out the newly added HBase sink.
