Like, would you differentiate sampling from collage in ways other than =
the media that each is usually associated with? Collage is generally =
thought of as referring to visual media, while sampling is usually =
thought of as applying to audio, but video looping is sometimes referred =
to as either collage or sampling. One might consider it all as =
=E2=80=98referencing=E2=80=99 but that term seems inadequate to me. =
Recycling comes to mind as well, but that term also carries a lot of =
baggage with it.
