Milly, here are some snow and winter poems - is that "class" as in children?
These were written for children - take your pick if any are suitable

Snow

The world is white
There is no sound
Snowflakes f
                       l
                     o
                          a
                      t
                                i

To the ground

Winter Verses

1
Scarves wrapped round our necks
Hands deep in our pockets
Winter winds rattle and roar
Like teeth shaken loose in their sockets

2
There's either too much snow
Or we complain about the lack of it
There's a cold front approaching from Siberia
But I'll be glad to see the back of it

The Song of Winter

The song of winter
Is sung by the wind
With music so sad the trees share it
The words to the song
Are told by the wind
So sad that the heart cannot bear it

Good luck with the project
