Hi all,

After Allen's "As seen on Fluxlist" stamp idea and Scott Rigby's statement
that he used Fluxlist for research not as a way of life I had the following
stamp idea for Allen:

"Fluxlist is for life not just for Christmas"

In the UK (don't know about elsewhere) people have car stickers that say " A
dog is for life not just for Christmas" to complain about people who get
puppies for their kids at Christmas and then abandon them at the end of
January. Cool variations I have seen of this are:
" A skateboard is for life not just for Christmas"
and
"A Pokemon is for life not just for Christmas"
anyway, as you can see I'm appropriating and not originating, still make a
good stamp though...may carve it one day.

BTW - Thanks to Ken for the pop post...those outside the UK may not be
familiar with the pop artist Peter Blake...worth a look...I never used to be
able to decide if I liked his work or not...came out in favour of it a while
ago though.

Anyhoo, there's a few Beefheart lyrics floating around so I'm afraid I'm
extending the idea...I've just finished work for the Easter weekend and my
good mood has turned to song ;-)

"Just like a penguin in bondage boy, Oh yeah, Oh yeah"

Reed, I did note your Funkadelic reference a while ago...remember who else
could write a tune called "Fish, chips and sweat".
(BTW doing some Burroughs checking...will report soon"

BTW - Roger, I have to ask..Do you like Hawkwind? Captain B. = Captain
Brock...

Oh I
wanna take a ride
in a Silver Machine
do you know what I mean?

tata listers,

Sol.(feeling unusually chipper this Thursday evening)
