Iowa is also the home of Quaker Oats (world's largest cereal company), home to
the makers of the Winnebago (world's most famous RV), and boasts the largest
collection of Grant Woods' art in the world. WHY did you leave??? ;o) And,
of course, created a causal effect that removed at least a point from Iowa's
IQ.
I got the Missouri joke, although I'm from California. I believe we can boast
that we had the highest number of dope smokers of any state in the 70s. I
believe LA, specifically, can state that they have the highest number of SUVs
anywhere in the entire universe right at this very moment.
