Hi Bernice,
Here's a few London suggestions

This bookshop is just around the corner from the British Museum. It has a
large selection of avant-garde books and publications including many
Something Else Press titles and Fluxus related books. It's pretty expensive
but free to browse of course.
--------------------------
Currently there is a show at the Hayward Gallery entitled Sonic Boom
consisting of many sound installations and curated by David Toop and
featuring artists such as scanner, Brian Eno etc.
--------------------------
The New Tate Modern Gallery is opening on Bankside in a few weeks. This will
have a Fluxus section although at the moment I've not yet been told who will
be included apart from confirmation that there will be work by Yoko Ono.
And of course the existing Tate Gallery at Millbank is still a great place
to visit.
--------------------------
If you're in London on the August Bank Holiday make sure you go to Notting
Hill Carnival which is simply the best event of the year...one huge party in
the streets like the carnival in
Rio apparently although I've never been to Rio.
--------------------------
Freedom Press - anarchist press and bookshop begun in 1896
Freedom Press in Angel Alley, 84b Whitechapel Highstreet London E1

Nice little shop with many interesting publications.
--------------------------
London Artist's Book Fair in late October or Early November
Held in the art gallery at the Barbican....if things work out I shall have a
stall there this year so if you're in London then you must come and say
hello..more info nearer the time of course.

Compendium Books

major contemporary bookshop...lots of hard to find stuff here, plus after
you visit you can walk round Camden Lock..go on a sunday and browse the
market..good fun.
---------------------------
There's a lot to do in London but it gets more expensive each year, some of
the free things you can enjoy are the parks and walking by the river..all
great in the summer. Also look out for flyers for free events in the parks
and commons...there are a few things like Deptford free festival etc. which
I'm sure you'd enjoy.
cheers,
Sol.
