Dear FLUXlist,

One of the participants in BaseKamp's 'Curated' exhibition sent us a
selection which we can't seem to find. It is an Ernst collage, so I did
not think we would run into difficulties locating a reproduction,
but every Library, database and bookstore in Philadelphia seems
clueless as to its whereabouts.
If our opening were not on Friday, we could take an interlibrary loan,
or drive to NY, DC or another nearby city and check there.
But at this point, I am praying to the omnipotent internet for guidance.

The FLUXlist is part of this quest.
The boon I am requesting is that if some kind soul feels so inclined,
we would be overcome with gratitude if they happened to find the
book on their shelf, blow off the dust, scan and send us the image
via email. And whoever bestowes this gift upon us will be immediately
added to the BaseKamp Favorite People list. well worth the effort.
The only stipulation is that it would have to reach us before the
opening, which is at 5pm this Friday (june 09).
[in all seriousness, it would be much appreciated].

Here is all the info we were given:

Max Ernst. Une Semaine de Bonte (A Week of Kindness). Paris: Jeanne
Bucher, 1934, last page. (this is a collage novel--the last image is of
one of Charcot's hysterics, back arched and floating. It has no title.
I
call it the "Ascension of the Hysteric", it ends the chapter called
La cle des chants (The Key to Songs).

Clues to the location and capture of this image are also very welcome.
Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Leigh Stevens,
David Dempewolf,
Justin Matherly,
and Scott Rigby.
