I have now gone from the fridge to the freezer

excavations among exploded soda cans, spilled frozen peas,
a dead bird in a box, calligraphies of dripped liquids
        arrested in flow

miss my old friends in the fridge as the crowd in freezer are
        indeed a cold
lot! "ice princesses" and "cold fish"

        talk about a chilly reception!
