Wonderful job on the interview. I liked his referenc es to Wallace
Berman, who I've known about for some time. He did what they called
"Verifax collages" which were some of the very earliest copy art.
There's a book called _Support the Revolution_ by one of the ICA's in
Europe from 1992 or so which has a lot of good information on Berman.
Yes, I guess in the early days (or one might say the "second phase of
mail art history (also herstory)" one had to know Jean Brown. There was
even a rubber stamp that said "After Dada & Surrealism Ask Jean Brown"
which I heard of through the postfluxus mailartist Steve Random when he
was still around in the early 90's.
