I understand Ornette's statement to indicate that he was never
within shouting distance of a Business school. 
        Ornette is a genius, but that doesn't mean he knows everything. The
only business-school type who ever had 
        anything to say worth hearing (this of course within the narrow
worlod of my experience) is Ken F.  Back when I
        was on boards and management teams for alternatives, we would bring
in B-School types to advise us, and they were 
        always full of good ideas, like "marketing is the key to reaching
your target audience."
