Ha-Ha! You can't go wrong with "T!" I just participated in a Tarot card-themed portfolio print exchange organized by some friends of mine where participants were randomly assigned certain cards from the tarot deck, and were requested to re-interpret these images as prints. Fortuntately, I ended up with "The Fool" In the traditional Rider tarot deck, the Fool appears with his dog. Naturally, my first instinct was to respond with Mr. T., who PITIES THE FOOL. And serendipitously, Mr. T.'s 1980's cartoon show spawned the merchandising of Mr. T's Halloween "Loot Bag," which includes a photo of T and his dog, both of whom are sporting the Mandinka/ mohawk!! Made a swell 11-color stencil (busted about a half-dozen X-acto blades!) based on this image, & paid my tribute to T. and the tarot!! Still wish that Mr. T. breakfast cereal were still around so that I could pull a Pee-Wee Herman & enjoy my Mr. T. breakfast cereal in the early AM. "Feeble 80's entertainment" is what made me happy as a teenager & I don't feel it necessary to apologize for citing it as a pleasure, or as an influence in my life. though **I'm NOT saying that to antagonize anyone who does** Mandy Mastrovita (grad student), Dept. of Printmaking University of Georgia
