Glad you enjoyed Leaf Shore & Sky Slaw. Plenty of the latter in the air waves these days, eh? As to how I construct: most of my writing in the past few years is written in (and/or against) various formal devices and structures of my own devising. In the case of these 2 it's a 6-word phrase with words 1 & 6 rhyming, in stanzas of 7 lines. Plus various other technical devices that may or may not be obvious. As to cut-ups or chance systems, I don't use 'em (tho i do occasionally do visual collage poems) even tho the work may appear "cup-up" to some people. They're just written that way, and do undergo revisions, etc. Underlying almost everything I write are narrative structures; stories... I'm writing them in the ur-language, or echo language, that underlies (or overlies or whatever) all language. It took many years of practice to find, or hear, and then write in that language.
Onword, John

Dear John, How are you constructing your poems? Do you have a set
system? Very interesting.
