Hi Allen,
This WAP idea is great.
One nice thing for WAP browsers would be the Fluxus Performance Workbook, it
would mean you could reference the workbook from anywhere where your phone
could get a signal. I've often thought a portable digital version would be a
good idea...the original print copy is A4 so having the whole thing
accessible from a tiny little phone would be very cool indeed. Not that I'm
trying to give you more work or anything but it's worth thinking about.
I have to say I'm a big fan of the whole WAP/Phone revolution we're seeing
now......I don't know what the mobiles (cell phones in US, we say mobiles in
UK) are like in the US but over here they're all still relatively limited,
monochrome screens and pretty chunky some of them. I was lucky enough to be
in Tokyo over christmas and see the future of mobile phone development,
phones there all have colour screens, are much smaller and some even boast a
small camera the size of a marble which attaches to the side of your phone
and allows you to send pictures. I don't know about WAP content over there
but I believe that the colour screen must make all the difference (like when
they brought out GameBoy color after all those years of monochrone LCD), tft
colour screens are a revelation.
Anyway, I for one am most excited about a Fluxlist WAP site so full marks to
Allen B. for initiative!
cheers,
Sol.
