While Roger's definition is technically correct (dimensional transference),
these spots are, in fact, freckles.  In Spain, they are referred to as
"espadas."  Red headed fruits and vegetables are prone to freckling in strong
sunlight.  One can certainly try broad brimmed hats, or potions containing
sunscreen, but this delays maturity, and thus one could have a long lasting
puberty in one's tomatoes, making them prone to highly emotional activity.  You
should probably grow okra, because nobody eats it, so nobody cares, and it
maintains a non-spotty sheen.
