On my computer desk I have: a pentatonic tuning pipe, an old porcelain chinese teacup
stamped crudely with flying cranes; a long necklace of carved bone beads my dad got in
shanghai in 1948; 2 lampwork glass tiny deer; an izone sticky photo of me with my 2
kids; a pair of paper boots my daughter made; a luna moth that my son made; a
sand-in-a-bottle
landscape I got in utah when we first moved to LA; lots of cards and press releases
from shows, as I review them; a little pencil holder my son made; slide boxes; a pair
of glass paperweights associated with my daughter; an old red leather marble bag and a
few of my favorite marbles; stamps; a brokenhandled blue and white earthenware cup
depicting
the LA harbor in the days before the US takeover; various things I keep intending to
do like my daughter's brownie scout vest that needs emblems put on; single gloves
looking for mates; french, spanish, and german dictionaries; sketchbooks; a couple of
pez dispensers (simpsons). Plus the usual drifts of papers, forms, receipts, tax docu,
