Have experienced this to a limited degree at an installation in London as
part of the Sonic Boom exhibition last year..I forget the name of the artist
who made it now. It was set up on a balcony overlooking the River Thames.
There were many wires stretched over the balcony and you wore headphones
that picked up different sounds depending upon which wire you under, quite
impressive although the listen.gmd.de stuff seems far more sophisticated.
So much interesting stuff going on it seems...a very exciting time for
computer music/sound.
