[sic]

He who has suffer'd you to impose on him, knows you. [diary of a peach]
And did those feet in ancient time [tangerines]
Walk upon England's mountains green? [apricots]
Pity would be no more, [bananas in bunches]
On England's pleasant pastures seen? [cucumber not a fruit thus beyond reproach]
Eternity is in love with the productions of time. [always eat fresh fuit]
And waters the ground with tears; [fruit that isn't fresh is bad]
Soon spreads the dismal shade [unless you are making a cake]
And with tempests play. [chimpanzees eat fruit]
Shine forth upon our clouded hills? [as well as other monkeys]
And the Caterpillar and Fly Jerusalem builded here [chipanzees aren't monkeys]
Of Mystery over his head; selfish loves increase; [neither are orangutans]
Bring me my bow of burning gold: [chimps don't eat orangutans]
Bring me my arrows of desire: [neither are an example of fresh fruit]
Enough! or too much. [that could be signifigant]
There grows one in the Human Brain. [possibly not]
Bring me my spear: O clouds unfold! [certain bats subsist entirely on fresh fruit]
Bring me my chariot of fire. [the dreaded pomengranate bats of Tanzania]
Make weep the eyes of day; [the seedless variety is superior in nutrional value]
In its thickest dismal shade. [bats don't eat cake]
For light doth seize my brain [or orangutans]
I will not cease from mental fight, [sliced kiwi, not to be excused]
They strike the ear of night, ["crapeaux" is not a fruit]
Sought through Nature to find this Tree, [edible body of a seed plant]
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand [OFFSPRING, PROGENY]
Where man is not, nature is barren. [the effect or consequence]
Sooner murder an infant in its cradle than nurse unacted desires [of an action or
operation]
Till we have built Jerusalem [a sweet pulp associated with the seed]
In England's green and pleasant land. [the ripened ovary of a seed plant]
Ruddy and sweet to eat; the fruit of Deceit, [as the petioles of a rhubarb plant]

ME [used chiefly in a dessert or sweet course]
