For a few months, I found myself listening for the
approaching sirens so that I would start the tape-recorder
rolling... so much so, that on a long drive in the desert, I
kept 'hearing' them. I'll be integrating the siren-sounds,
along with pile-drivers and church-bells, into many
intricate sound loops embedded in

this expanding grid.
