Hey,
         I'm very tired.

Size of book: The past year or two, I've been busy enough to be
forced to carry around a pocket sized day planner. My favorite thus far has
come out to 5"x6" when unfolded, or 3"x5" closed. It's a little bit bigger
than the size you suggested, but the proportions may work out the same. I'm
no good with math.

As for what to include, if you wanted to be overly ambitious, we
could all volunteer whatever information we thought to be helpful. Address,
phone number, hat size? Some people have, er, different priorities, I
guess. Main things to have are Name, address, email, possibly phone number,
and maybe how long they'd be willing to take on a fellow fluxlisted
boarder. Not that I've ever thought about travelling around the world with
no set plans, living basically off of the hospitality of others and
whatever meager skills I could trade for it.

         I must be very tired.
                 Dan
