I guess it depends who you meet. Ken Friedman tells it like it's exciting. I think it was more exciting for him because when he joined Fluxus he was only 16. In fact I like the direction he(as well as Dick Higgins) took Fluxus in best of all. The whole Mail Art thing and publishing via Something Else Press.........it's all about owning the means of production, I like the idea of particpating in art activity but at the same time negating art's clique ridden establishment...I guess I like the idea of art being open to all..I hate the closed shop idea or that whole "who you know" bit that seems to go hand in hand with art. That's why the mail art network and the web are so important, they are truly open to all. >but has anyone noticed? there,s been a lot more posted these past couple of days!< I think the extra posts show that people don't take kindly to having the list rubbished by someone in no position to do so. As for me I've not had much to say recently, just been quitely working at a few things like my new software (more in due course about that). But I'm not going to listen to any more mean-spirited rubbish from Eric without having something to say about it. cheers, Sol.
