There was an interesting artical a couple of weeks
ago in the Sunday Observer about
Delia Derbyshire
She was the mind behind the Doctor Who theme. She
worked with Stockhausen, Peter Maxwell Davies and Yoko Ono among others - on
pre-synthesiser electronic music.
I then discovered she worked with the
musician David Vorhaus on the late sixties album White Noise.
I rushed to my record collection - and there it
was, after all this time, like an old friend.
And sounding as lovely as ever.
Does anyone else know of Delia? Or have the album
or anything else by her?
I'm going to have a look around the web
now.
