The TriBeCa open artist studio tour has become one of the most notable downtown
NYC events and offers an unusual experience for those interested in viewing and
purchasing artwork...at the source. It allows art lovers an opportunity to see
inside the TriBeCa studios of both established and emerging artists. The works
range from abstract to representational, realistic to expressionist,
traditional to cutting edge, in all media and sizes. The viewing experience is
easy, pleasant, and free. You get to meet and buy directly from the artist, and
to experience the vast range of studio spaces from basement to loft--private
and shared. In addition to the individual artists, many of TriBeCa's best
galleries, alternative art spaces, restaurants and institutions are
participating as one of New York's most vibrant art communities emerges
stronger than ever from the events of 9/11.
