totally off topic as this is I'm sure many of you are excited about the release of Star Wars Episode II:Attack of the Clones on May 16th...(in fact I'm so excited that I've booked the 17th off work so I can see it as soon as possible)
Anyway, on the latest trailer there's a URL for http://www.holonetnews.com/ actually I didn't spot it but saw this in a news article on the web. Anyway the site is set up as if it exists in the time of AOTC so there are news articles relating to the clone army, jedi features etc. What's really interesting here is the idea of creating a website that references a completely different time and place with constantly updated content and so when you read it you're reading it in the same way as would anyone from that time and place. I think this opens a new door with regards to the narrative form on the web, then again I may be wrong. Anyway, holonetnews is pretty cool. What's really nice is the banner ads for bizarre products like Tuskblaster..a toothpaste for gamorrean guards! cheers, Sol.
