If it is, and the sun is over there (His right as he faces the uadience) for instance, 'that' (Front) would be northerly. On the other hand, if it is not morning and the sun is over 'there' (His left) .......'that' .....(lamely) would still be northerly.  (Picking up). To put it another way, if we came down from there (Front) and it is morning, the sun would be up there (His left), and if it is actually over 'there' (His right) and it's still morning, we must have come from up 'there' (Behind him), and if 'that' is southerly (His left) and the sun is really over 'there' (Front), then it's afternoon.  However, if none of these is the case....

(Yes, but no one'll read it anyway Wombal, just get back to your naughty type typing away there, oooohh!  Every word I speak, she types, typing, typing away with her pencil and parchment, until there's enough to fill a large polythene carrier pigeon which can be sent by legs to the freeformfreakout organisation 'electric typewriters with old televisions stuck on them' IT div - they'll never know folks! that part of the castle has no electricity! - aaah!, aaaahhhaaaa! but wait, i hear you say - i often hear things that no-one else does you know....-but wait!  how if  this all be true [what? are you all cornish fishermen?], if this be troo then how does it get to the electric fluxlist then?)
