Hullo there darlings,

Saw the Robt. Wilson / Tom Waits Woyzeck last night. Not the best Wilson
I've ever seen (nary a chair in sight!) and I have little use for Tom Waits
as an interpreter of Buchner (or Berg, for that matter). But if you're in
town, it's still worth seeing. (On the other hand, I believe most
productions of Woyzeck are of some worth.) The principle players are all
from Betty Nansen Theatre and they're always worth seeing.

The best Wilson I've ever seen (and I've seen quite a bit) was Strindberg's
Dream Play. Probably the best production of that (very difficult to
produce) play ever staged (in the US). The 3D animated Monsters of Grace
that he did with Glass (using the poetry of Rumi) was also
QUITE good.

I actually am very fond of Robert Wilson and got to meet him once. Alas it
was back when I was still at Pratt (Wilson is an alumnus) and I was still a
walking chemistry lab so I have no clear recollection of the incident. We
both seemed to have survived it so I figure, how bad could it have been?
