Richard,
you should get in touch with Pip Chodorov of Re:Voir editions (phone: 331 40
22 60 82/ fax : 331 40 22 60 83, mail : [EMAIL PROTECTED] ), he is the one
that made the box with the tape (he is editing in France a lot of
experimental movies, and also the fluxfilm anthology) and can sellabroad,
he has credit card terminal etc. The fine thing is that he is american, so
there shouldn't be any trouble to talk to him....
Concerning 3 friends (which is 155 pages and not 40as Owen said), it's the
french translation of excerpts of jonas mekas diary, and the correspondence
between Mekas, Maciunas, Ono and Lennon.
Michel Bouhours (Curator of the movies collection at Pompidou) explains that
this book has already been published in Lithuanian and japanese, but cannot
be published in English, because the protagonists don't agree on it.
However, theiy reached an agreement on a french edition.
The videotape shows two films of Mekas: Zfiro Torna, scenes from the life of
George Maciunas (1992) and Happy Birthday to John(1995, images of Lennon's
birthday on the 9th of October 1972 and of the opening of Lennon and Ono
Fluxus show.
Bests regards,
Bertrand
