I met former French president Valery Giscard d'Estaing(t, d...spelling?) in the stairs on my way from the toilet of the Palais de la Mutualite in Paris in '95. As I was going downstairs, I saw some bouncer type bloke in a black suit and shades like he was waiting for me downstairs. I turned round and Valery was there, behind me. I must say I was a bit surprised, though I have to admit that he must piss and shit, like everybody else. Still, he didn't waste any time or opportunity to make a new convert as he broke the ice with a still moist handshake and his trade mark :"Bonshooaarrh Monshieur" before desapearing again as his bodyguards pushed him through the doors again. Still, I must say I didn't vote for him or anybody from his political party or any other affiliate. Does that make me ungrateful?

Has any of you had any form of physical contact with any former president or politician in an attempt to get votes?

fabrice.
