Subject: FLUXLIST: cansnot surso sure... I'd half-expect to find an Old Navy T-shirt inside.. consider also the expense/weight and difficulty in mailing/delivery. /:b ------------------------------ hello - I earn a living using mail services daily to ship items internationally. I know USPS rates have increased dramatically since last year, and from flat rate pricing, they've gone to a tiered service based on source/destination calculation. So yes, weight is an issue, and wherever the project is shipped _from_ and _where_ it's going now also matters. Someone mentioned that paint cans can be seen as "artsy fartsy". I agree. On the other hand, cigar boxes can be said to be deliberately dumbing down, or too 'crafty' ie macaroni+glue gun kindergarten art ;-) Is there a [vaguely ] overall theme to this project or is it like a potluck dinner where no one knows what everyone else is bringing ? I mean - if using a paint can, the projects submitted would be about 'paint' if using paper bag, the project could be about 'paper' if using ziplock bag, the project could be about 'closure' very loosely speaking of course and so on.
