dear all,

i have been asked to submit some work and/or a proposal for a show in the
UK. obviously i have been asked to submit my CV etc. a strange situation
as it seems that someone has submitted my name to the gallery and they
contacted me this morning. I have some pieces that i would really like to
do for this

here's the rub - i don't have an up to date CV, well I have a work one but
that isn't so relative i fear.
i have never exhibited (that i know of - i was asked to submit stuff to a
show in australia, but never heard back so i don't know if they used it)

And i need advice on how to put one together.

i've never exhibited in a show/gallery space, but i have initiated a fair
few FFFO projects and participated in mail art and fluxlist stuff etc. i
really don't know how to go about this CV lark.
(the FFFO, despite it's self deprecating, dumb front and the fact that it
apparently holds itself in low esteem, does exist as an entity, the reasons
for it are serious and the body of work related to it is real - yet does not
need exhibiting.. the result of this is taht the whole FFFo thing, when it's
doing stuff, is doing so on a day to day basis, often "semi-conciously")

WHAT am i trying to get across here?!?!

Oh yes, i would be really grateful if someone could help me here. what do i
need to include in this sort of CV?
also, i have little idea of what i've actually done! well to a point - a
lot of stuff was mail-art or internet based but i know that resulting
documentation was released (published) - is this sort of stuff valid?
are the FFFO projects valid?

do i include my gallery work? for what it's worth i installed Ay-O and
Emmett in NY and Alain Arias Misson, John Roloff and Gordon Matta Clark
(assisted) in Venice.
i also assisted emmett williams at the anthology film archive

i performed with eric andersen, emmett williams, alison knowles, ben
patterson in genova
and performed solo at the fluxus constellation show

i performed with allen bukoff (yoshi wada's earth horns) impromptu, never
the less a performance

etc etc

how much, if any of this is relevant?
I would at least like to make a decent effort at applying for this show.
it's something that i've never done before - and it's probably about time i
did.

any help will be greatly appreciated!

cheers

alan

PS if anyone has any ideas as to how i could go about showing my existing
stuff, i'd be very interested to hear, a si haven't got a clue!!!!
