Dear Don,
Last news I received from Francesco was not so bad: he can talk now, and is
recovering slowly, but he still can not breeze by himself (needs a steel
lung). As soon as his arm is getting better, he will quit the reanimation
service.
For the moment, no one can speak or visit him, a part of his secretary
Esther (whose husband, fortunately, was a very famous neuro-surgeon of the
hospital of Verona).
I saw Eric Andersen this week-end, and he is planning to go as soon as it's
posible to Francesco to have visitors.
However, it's still to early to say if Francesco will ever walk again, for
the moment his legs are paralyzed, but he regained motricity of the arms -at
least the one that is not injured, of course.
That's what I can say, from what I've been told by Esther, Ben Patterson and
Eric Andersen.

Bertrand
