Subject: [RampagingRecons] Peace Protest: Lysistrata. THIS MONDAY!
Royal Oak, all welcome! What: A public reading of Lysistrata as part of an
organized, INTERNATIONAL protest against war in Iraq.
Location: Isle of Avalon Books, 412 E. 4th Street (just east
of downtown, half a block from Inn Season), Royal Oak
Time: Gather at 7, start at 7:30 ("or so"), end by 9, on
Monday, March 3, 2003
This is an amateur reading; there will be no rehearsal. The
purpose is to add to the communal energy for peace, and to have some fun in the
process. Planned readers so far include: Brighn, Valerie, Vireo, Dawn, Mel,
Elaine, and Jeff (tell me if I missed someone!). There's still room for more
people in the reading, and people are encouraged to show up to be our audience.
=) If you're busy that night but still want to support this effort, feel free to
pass this email along, or print out the flyer at http://www.ourpinkhouse.com/lysistrata.pdf and
post it around!
Donations will be accepted but are not required. Any money
which is donated will go entirely to peace activist groups (half each to Green
House Peace Project and Peace Action of Michigan). Isle of Avalon is donating
this space, many thanks to Kristen Desentz for that!
For more information on the project itself, visit http://www.lysistrataproject.com;
specific questions about this reading should be directed to me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] or
248-259-1198.
