i'm one of the chosen 'international' artists and i get to be in the catalogue - but as for the show i haven't got a clue just what's going on! there's a sort of pre opening opening on friday at 10 am - i'll be at work! i'm down somewhere to be performing at various times over three days! i don't perform - well very rarely. and oh, all sorts of other stuff then there's the real opening down at the giardini - god knows what's going on there! then i'm off to england for a show i'm in, of which the curator has just quit, where they decided that they hads less space than they thought, AFTER i had spent a month on a piece 3m x 3m. as revenge i'm taking 50+ pieces and we're going to decide in the 3 days before the opening ! i was going to do an event for the opening, but it turns out that the opening is somewhere else! (that i just don't get) and i'll not be allowed to do it (according to the organiser of the opening) but i will be allowed to (according to the curator) we may well do the old FFFO Invisible Division trick of sitting in the pub until its all over. Anyone unfortunate to be in the Sunderland area is welcome to join me! alan
