Renato Meneghetti for blatantly using an FFFO project + 1000 euro as a vehicle to gain access to the venice biennale (with heart felt apologies to all who participated in the FFFO event, we feel it necessary to try, at least, to withdraw our entry to the 'brain academy' travesty which is to be found in a perfect spot just outside i giardini di castello. the fffo is curently looking for a space in which to exhibit all the 'frozenrefrigeratedboiledfriedbakedand roasted events 2003" surprise the curators sub-event' pieces recieved - the major part of which are great - special mention to Carol Starr and Caterina Davinio who really 'got it'!) - (any offers of a space gratefully considered!)
a similar rant will be directed at those who saw fit to publish Meneghetti's publicity poster in the catalogue under Bowman's name - a big mistake guys! ...news and photos from the spectacular ' life never stops' show at Archivio Emily Harvey, Venice - in which the FFFO showed alongside many Fluxus greats (a fact that we are stilling reeling from!) - Ben has a great show there and the other room has to be seen! new and less new pieces which pay tribute to Emily and her great passion/work with Fluxus ...hopefully, news and images from the FFFO's part in the 'r+d' show at NGCA/Reg Vardy Gallery, Sunderland (don't laugh Sol/Roger - we all have to bite the bullet once in a while!) in which Bowman managed to confuse many, and the Bowmans (alan and glen) manged to scare the hell out of even more, (the FFFO was omitted from the publicity - a mistake for which we recieved a truly grovelling apology which would have been published if the curators had not been so damn, well, honest!) resulting in invites to a VIP do where the FFFO took Crazy Wavy Davy (sorry i've only got a joint left) from Peterlee, as our personal assistant and where we really did drink all the wine. Bowman has also been invited to advise upon/co-curate a large Fluxus and it's after-effects show in Newcastle Upon Tyne, in a great 5 storey loft style space in the centre of the city. It's early days as yet but i'm hoping that the bFluxlist could be a good source. The focus will be on, as I'm led to believe, the effects of Fluxus.....e voila! watch this space.... not continually of course as there are health and safety rules to adhere to.... L.
