Ruud,

>From my own files I did get next internet links in which Fluxus is
named. Sometimes maybe just mentioned in a few sentences, in other
cases completely explained.

Yours,
Sztuka Fabryka
(P.S. I am never against you or IUOMA, only for a strong Mail-Art
Network without blabbering)

Not my definition but from the internet: "Movement in music and
visual arts, established in November 1961 when Maciunas (U.S.A.)
proposed to a group of artists to launch a magazine called "Fluxus"
and to do performances of the pieces in that magazine. In Wiesbaden
on September 1962 they made the performances and the press began to
call them 'Die Fluxus Leute' - the Fluxus people. Fluxus wanted to
integrate art and daily life. The artist should unlock the creative
possibilities within a person instead of being a person who makes art
objects as a profession. With festivals, actions and publications
they tried to spread this idea. For a better organisation the world
was divided in two parts with each a co-ordinator, in America (Fluxus-
West) it was Ken Friedman and for Europe (Fluxus-East) it was the
German Joseph Beuys. Fluxus is a Mail-Art precursor. According to Ken
Friedman (U.S.A.) they were one of the factors who shaped
correspondence art. This because they were testing and beginning to
stretch the definitions of art in Europe, America and in Japan."
