i actually have a Print Gocco that I got for $20 from an art shop in Willimantic, CT.  
they had used it once or twice, but it was just sitting behind their counter gathering 
dust, and they were trying to sell off all of their inks and such for it.
the best part was the training video - obviously dated and quite amusing - that they 
let me borrow before i bought the Gocco.
i've been using it to print t-shirts and stickers for the 
MARJORIE CRAIG FAN CLUB.

I did some of that in grad school as well. the print professors called it "collagraph" 
(printing/writing with collage).
i used corrugated cardboard as the base plate, and laid down paper cutouts, bits of 
window screen, pieces of string, etc. to compose the image.  then i coated the plate 
with gloss medium (or Mod Podge if i was feeling cheap) and i usually inked & wiped to 
print intaglio.  fun stuff.
