Hi all
I am a writer researching the life of the late NANCY COLE. She is a very elusive lady!
She worked with JOSEPH BEUYS and also Anatole Weigal and she wrote and performed two one woman shows (that I am aware of) :
Gertrude Stein's gertrude Stein
and
With Love John Lennon.
The latter show was with permission of Yoko Ono.
She performed in Paris and York and London in the early seventies and also in Edinburgh in 1982 and in Australia, but I am unsure of the year.
She made a limited edition double LP of her Gertrude Stein show in Paris in 1972 and I have a copy of this.
She was American by birth and vanished in the late eighties/early nineties and there was a BBC documentary about her in 1991 or around then - this I have yet to locate.
If anyone knew her/worked with her/ knows anything at all about her performances or life, I would be very grateful for even the smallest detail you would be able to send me
