As you now know, he received Allen's letter, and sent to all the people who had received his letter this answer. That's how and why I received it. As Alan had forwarded Allen's letter to the list, it seemed to me a good thing to do to forward you this, and that's why I asked him if I could. Actually, if I receive other answers from other artists, I will surely ask them if they agree with my sending of their letters to the list. But maybe they will prefer to send these answers only to Allen, so he will have to decide what he does with them, forwarding them to us, or keeping them for himself. Bests,   Bertrand
