alison knowles came to work with me this afternoon,
she looked after my class 4 kids (4th grade) whilst i desperately tried to
finish off my end of term reports.
she talked to them about her new book, books, paper
and beans - they absolutely loved it!
they showed her the books they had made during
book week. books of textures, mono-colour books and sound books.
alison looked at each and every one of them and talked to the kids about each
page. and the kids chatted like they'd know her for ages.
the kids wrote her haiku about the afternoon and
beans. alessia's was so good that 'miss knowles' took it home with
her!
quite an experience, for all i'd say.
also pretty surreal. to look up from your desk and
see that the person who is saving your backside by doing your job for you is
someone you studied at college...
or something
one of the odder days in class4
