Shaders yes, but I'm not sure about that one for the sphere. Right now in my main file (what I just posted is just the test setup) I have the earth as the only shadow-casting object with the "sun" as the shadow light. I need something like that because I want to have day and night so I can have windows that light up on the night side.
Toon shaders would be good for the buildings though, especially if I could also trace outlines. Generally for every new step I'm trying to pick something that would add something to the looks while also engaging a new side to Scheme/Fluxus so shaders would make a lot of sense in the near future.
