[Fluxus] fluxus-0.17rc5-win32 and Alt-# working?

hi, I just tried fluxus for the first time with the 0.17rc5 binary; I'm 
running Windows XP. The console seems to mostly work, but I can't get a 
workspace running. I found a comment on the list to use Alt-# instead of 
Ctrl-#, but that just prints the # to the console prompt.

Instead I tried 0.16 version 2, and that does work with Alt-#. Anyone 
else seeing this problem with 0.17rc5?
