Pulled, tested and merged into redacted too :-)

It does seem to me that it all behaves a bit better at 44.1K than at 48K, so
I'm not completely convinced there isn't more weirdness in there still but
with this and the discovery of that DC offset caused by a mis-cut sample
it's a lot better for me.
