third is when i animate. This last show a different shape; is this due
to what You said?
if you use the code i sent in my reply this should not happen. if you 
watch the cylinder from above, you will see it's skewed while rotating, 
which is caused by the wrong transformation order i explained. it's not 
just its thickness, but the shape is distorted.
